Mercedes Maybach

The other Mercs and Beamers feel like commonplace in comparison to this new Palanquin among cars. The elitist club can now buy this palace on four wheels. The numbers of its owners in India are in single digits. The new Maybach 62 and, the slightly smaller variant, Maybach 57 are offered in India. The Maybach looks sturdy and is unmistakable on the road. With a wide-range selection of standard and optional equipment, there are over two million different ways in which Maybach customers can personalise the design and fittings of their high-end luxury saloon. Individualisation is further expanded with a range of high-quality accessories developed specifically for the Maybach, from a made-to-measure luggage set to a Sterling silver champagne flute, from a humidor to a golf bag. A sliding glass rises up to compartmentalise the rear. The 5.5-litre, V-12, twin-turbo motor along with a five-speed automatic transmission generates 550 bhp and an outstanding 902 Nm of torque. The 62 is estimated to top 250 km/h easily and accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.4 seconds. Price starts at Rs 5.5 Crore (ex-showroom Delhi).
