75-year-old Rolls-Royce from India to be auctioned in Germany

1934 model of the Rolls-Royce Phantom-II belongs to the Maharaja of Rajkot.His Rolls-Royce Phantom-II is all set to be auctioned in Germany.This model is all-weather convertible which is  expected to obtain 8.5 million pounds in the auction organized by the makers Rolls-Royce at Museum in Muhlheim.Rolls-Royce built this car for Thakorsaheb Dharmendrasinhji before 75 years. The car carries the symbol of Rajkot state 'prajadharmi raja' and it was painted to signify the guts of 'Hindutva'. The most interesting feature of this Rolls-Royce Phantom-II is its head lights control are in the steering wheel and the car's progress on the road can be tracked.This car is expected to be auctioned higher than the 1957 Ferrari 250 Tessa Rosa which was sold for 7.2 million dollars at an auction in May 2009.

Volkswagen to launch Polo in early 2010

Volkswagen be launching the Polo in early 2010 in India. The company’s first hatchback in India, the Polo will come with both petrol and diesel engine options. It is a sedan version, will be launched in mid-2010. The VW Polo will be a part of the rapidly growing hatchback segment in India, which includes Maruti’s Swift and Ritz and Hyundai’s i10 and i20. The company expects Polo's sales in the country to improve remarkably after the launch of the Polo, and to cross the 1 lakh mark by 2014. Neeraj Garg, VW India’s Director (Passenger Car Division) said that the car would be built on a platform especially developed for Indian road conditions, and would be bench marked against the Maruti Swift. Garg also said that Volkswagen’s initial strategy for the compact car segment would be to launch Volkswagen India will be launching the Polo in early 2010.
