ŠKODA's lineup is ready with the four new upcoming models which currently includes the finest hatchback FABIA, and OCTAVIA, LAURA and SUPERB in India.The expected Fabia Sports model will be  tagged Rs 10 lakh and The Combi models price too to be expected around that same level. The Fabia Combi is looking  to be manufactured on its parent company Volkswagen’s B6 stage. The FABIA will be available in three engine types,they are 1.2 liter and 1.4 liter petrol and 1.4 liter diesel.

Skoda SUPERB V6 FSI - 2009 Model

The Skoda Superb V6 FSI is prepared with a DOHC petrol engine. It has a kerb weight of 1750 kg and comes with permanent 4 wheel drive & 6 speed auto transmission.This car is having 3.6L 260bhp V6 FSI engine which is capable of producing 262.6 @ 6,000 (PS@rpm) as its maximum power and 35.35 @ 2,500–5,000 (kgm@rpm) as its maximum torque.

SKODA's New SUPERB 1.8 TSI

The new Skoda SUPERB guarantees a ‘7 Star experience on wheels’. This Skoda SUPERB is mainly considers the safety and infotainment features.. It comes with a TSI petrol engine and 7 speed auto transmission.Powered by a 1.8 litre TSI petrol engine, the new Superb comes with 7 speed DSG (Direct-Shift Gearbox) automatic transmission. The car launched with several upgraded safety features like its 8 airbags being the most prominent. This car isn’t ‘new’ just in name.

Volkswagen, Porsche finalise merger deal

Volkswagen will be merging with German sports car maker Porsche by the year 2011. VW will initially shell out 3.3 million euros to a buy a 42% stake in Porsche. The firms' supervisory boards announced that after the tie-up, VW's Chief Executive Martin Winterkorn will be the head of both Porsche and VW. The merger is a major victory for VW, and marks Porsche's failure to buy the former. In the past year, Porsche bought a 51 per cent stake in VW, but fell short of the required 75 per cent for a take over. The merger comes after years of bitter wrangling between the two car companies.

Porsche now becomes the tenth carmaker to come under VW. The others include Audi, Skoda and Seat. VW said that it would maintain Porsche's 'independence' after the merger, and would also preserve its own solid financial base.
